Hello my name is ShatericaAnte' and I am from Houston, TX. I am the Beauty behind the Book Beauty Chronicles Book Blog.
I am an avid reader and proud supporter/lover of literature written by African American authors and writers. I have always enjoyed reading since I was a young child I spent most of early childhood years reading books such as Sweet Valley High, The Babysitters Club, Nancy Drew, and Goosebumps.
Once I got older my level of reading changed and I started reading on a mature level of books and the first book I read was The Coldest Winter Ever by Sistah Souljah and I absolutely loved that book. After reading, The Coldest Winter Ever, it made not only want to read more books in the genre but it made me seek out more written works by African American authors.
Some of my favorite authors are Kimberla Lawson Roby, Eric Jerome Dickey, Omar Tyree, and Zane. I read all genres but I would have to say Im a hopeless romantic so I enjoy a good love story. I also enjoy reading my share of Urban Fiction/Street Literature as well. I get a chance to live my life vicarseley through the characters in the story.
In addition to book blogging, I am in the process of launching a few other projects, The WISE Project, which is a motivational/digital empowerment community for young women of color entreprenuers. I have also decided to write and self publish my first fiction novel, After the Pain, which is romance/women's contemprary fiction novel. I will be self publishing on my own publishing label, Unleashed Signature Publications. Book Beauty Chronicles Book Blog was birthed out of my love of reading and sharing my reads/recommendations with family and friends. Anybody thats know me personally knows that outside of working and spending time with family I enjoy reading a good book.
If you were to ask me what is my view of good Saturday night, I will tell you curled up in my blanket with a bottle of wine and a good book to read.
In addition to sharing my love for reading with my family and friends I also wanted to find away to help support and promote my fellow authors. I have came across so many authors who has great novels out but they overlooked and very underrated. I wanted to be able to provide that platform for promoting and building for them.
The Book Beauty Chronicles Book Blog does more than post book reviews, we are also available for author interviews, character interviews, author spotlights, book excerpts, book blog tour stops, and we also provide other services that are beneficial to authors and publishers.
